Description
Hand forging or hand fabrication involves shaping a design by hammering, with or without heat, into the desired form. This method is the least common in jewelry making. It involves starting with raw, cold-rolled pieces or sheets of precious metals, then manually cutting, hammering, and forming the metal into the intended design. Handmade jewelry created through this process is nearly 50% harder than that made by casting.
The copper cross is hand-forged, meticulously cut from a copper sheet, and hammered by hand to achieve the desired texture.
It measures 0.75 inches in width and 1.15 inches in length.
Every cross is uniquely crafted to ensure individuality.
Turquoise gemstones, measuring 3 x 4mm, are meticulously hand-wrapped with sterling silver wire to form the chain, to which the cross is then affixed.
The ear wire is precisely cut from a coil of 20 gauge .935 sterling silver wire with a .032 diameter and then skillfully shaped by hand.
We utilize .935 sterling silver to prevent any skin irritation.
The handcrafted ear wire design securely connects the cross to the turquoise gemstones with a closed loop.
In this singular design, the ear wire, copper cross, and turquoise gemstones come together harmoniously.
The completed earrings have a length of 3.25 inches.
They feature Sterling Silver and Copper sourced from the USA.
Turquoise represents the December birthstone.
Copper is traditionally given for the 7th anniversary.
The earrings are presented in an elegant gift box.
