Hand forging / hand fabrication is the process of forming a design by hammering with or without heat into a desired shape. This process is the rarest type of jewelry construction. It means taking a raw piece of cold rolled or sheets of precious metals, then hand cutting, hammering, and shaping the metal into the desired design. This process makes handmade jewelry almost 50% harder than cast jewelry.

Heart is hand cut from a sheet of copper, then hand textured with a hammer to create the desired finish.
Hand forged copper heart is 1.25" x 1.25 inches.
Each heart is unique and made one at a time.
The ear wires are hand cut from a roll of 20-gauge sterling silver, .032 diameter wire, then hand forged into shape.
Handcrafted ear wire design attaches copper heart with a secure closed loop.
