Installation

All of our lighting fixtures come complete with installation hardware and are easy to mount to a standard round or octagonal junction box. Watch how to install A19’s artisan ceramic wall sconces.

WALL SCONCE MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION: FAILURE TO INSTALL THIS FIXTURE PROPERLY MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH AND PROPERTY DAMAGE. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.

This product must be installed in accordance with applicable installation code(s), by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved.*

Caution: Do not exceed maximum wattage noted on fixture.

A- Knurled Nut

B- Ceramic Fixture

C- Brass Washer

D- Rubber Washer

E- Nipple

F- Green Ground Screw

G- Box Machine Screws

H- Crossbar

I- Black Wire

J-Ground Wire

K- White Wire

To Install

1. Turn off power at the main breaker box prior to starting installation.
2. Using two box machine screws (G) and fasten the crossbar (H) to the electric box.
3. Thread the nipple (E) into the crossbar.
4. Using suitable wire connectors (not provided) connect the fixture wires to supply wires—white to white (K) and black to black (I). Connect ground wires (J) to crossbar ground screw (F).

Caution: Make sure wire connectors are secure, and no bare wire is exposed.

1. Place the ceramic fixture (B) over the box so that the threaded nipple protrudes through the mounting hole in the fixture.
2. Place the rubber washer (D) then brass washer (C) over the nipple and fasten securely with knurled nut (A). Do not over tighten or ceramic may crack.
3. Install light bulb(s).
4. Restore electricity at main breaker.

Care & Maintenance

BARE BISQUE

Natural “bisque” (unpainted ceramic) fixtures can be cleaned by sanding with fine 150-grit sandpaper. Do not use liquid cleaners on the porous bisque surface.

PAINTING BISQUE

If you enjoy DIY, our bare bisque ceramic is smooth and easy to paint. You may use any basic acrylic or latex paint of your choosing. For the ease of clean-up, etc. water based paint is recommended. Should you choose oil based paint (e.g., a can of spray paint), we recommend using an appropriate primer first; otherwise, a primer is not necessary.

FINISHES

A19’s finishes are durable enough to hold up to wear both indoors and out. The exterior surface can be dusted or wiped clean with a non-abrasive damp cloth or sponge.

DAMP & WET LOCATIONS

To prevent water from reaching the electrical connections, apply a bead of silicone around the full perimeter of the fixture housing to seal it to the wall surface. Our standard damp location fixtures are suitable for indoor or outdoor locations subject to condensation of moisture. Select our Outdoor/WET rated option when the light fixture or electrical components will be directly exposed to rain water.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

A19 ceramic lighting fixtures are made under the highest standards of quality and workmanship. In addition to, A-19, Inc. warrants to the original consumer purchaser for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns their home. If your light fixtures are purchased for industrial, commercial and business use you are warranted for a period of 5 years.

Group 2: Made in America with Domestic and Foreign Components: Materials are made in the U.S. and also a foreign nation, with assembly and/or manufacturing occurring in the U.S.

Damages/issues: For any item(s) received damaged or incorrectly, we will replace that item free of charge within 30 days of delivery. For your convenience, there is no need to return the original damaged or incorrectly shipped item; you may safely dispose of it once you've received approval from our team. When requesting the approval, please include photos of the item and of the packaging material. You may need to keep the item for up to 10 days while the claim is being submitted. Please use Apollo's Return Portal to initiate the return process. When your order arrives, it's important to check it thoroughly. If you notice any defects, damages, or receive the wrong item, we urge you to use Apollo's Return Portal or contact us at support@apollolanding.com. We will investigate the issue promptly and take the necessary steps to ensure your satisfaction.

Returns: You have up to 30 days from the time of delivery to request a return. The item must be in the same condition as you received it, unopened and unused, and in its original packaging. The return shipping costs will be deducted from the refund amount. Please use Apollo's Returns Portal to initiate the return.

Exchanges: Currently, we do not offer an exchange option. If you would like a different item, you can return the product within our Returns Portal and place a new order for your desired replacement. A refund will be issued once we receive the returned product. The item must be in the same condition as you received it, unopened and unused, and in its original packaging.

Return costs: The return costs are deducted from the refund amount for standard returns.

Handling fee: We currently do not charge a handling fee

Refunds: You’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 2-5 business days after the receipt of the returned product is confirmed. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

About Us: A19’s Origin Story

Like many creative ventures, A19 Artisan Lighting started with a dream—and a napkin. One unforgettable night at a local watering hole, fueled by an overly generous margarita, two friends hatched the idea to take a leap and run their own business. They’d treat employees like family, improve how business was done by ensuring every client felt valued, and set their own hours (not yet knowing that meant 24/7). Maybe they wouldn’t change the whole world, but they were determined to make a difference.

The following work day, Cinnamon marched into her boss’s office, looked him straight in the eye, and blurted out that she wanted to buy or start her own lighting manufacturing company. The second the words fell out, panic set in—“Did I just quit my job?” That evening, she bought her first book on how to write a business plan, dove into the numbers, and mapped out what it would take to make it happen. A week later, her boss became her first mentor, and she turned to the people who mattered most—the skilled artisans she worked alongside every day. She shared her vision, and they said yes. That was 1998. A19 was born, and the realities of entrepreneurship took flight.
