Will the scratch grow over time or peel? No. Our frames are anodized aluminum (highly abrasion resistant and durable), meaning that a scratch will not peel and grow over time like some traditional painting methods such as powder coating.

Do scratch and saves snowshoes have the same warranty as an unscratched new pair? Yes.

Are there any other differences between these snowshoes and an unscratched new pair? No. Other than the cosmetic scratches these shoes are the exact same as a full-price snowshoe.

Women's trail snowshoes should be different than men's. For that matter, any model of women's snowshoes should reflect the fact that women are smaller and have shorter, more narrow strides.

And did you know that Crescent Moon was the first to make a series of snowshoes for women, and by the way, designed by a woman, who also happens to be the co-founder of the company? Now you know.

The Gold 13 Trail is for women up to 165lbs and foot sizes less than 12 (W). It's lightweight, very easy to maneuver and features a binding system so well designed and functional it has been recognized as the "best" snowshoe on the market by most outside magazines at some point during the last 22 years Crescent Moon has been making it. That's one small step for women, one giant snowshoe leap for women-kind. The Gold 13 features a frame which has been bent with a very steep nose and tapered tail. Because of this unique teardrop shape, with each step, the shoes will clear away from themselves within the distance of your own natural stride without forcing you to adapt a new walking style, like traditionally shaped snowshoes do. The Gold 13's are exceptionally responsive, lightweight, and comfortable on any trail.

Each set of aluminum snowshoes come with a pair of heel lifts.

What is a heel lift? It's an optional feature for your snowshoes, which adds 2 inches of platform under your heel and makes climbing more efficient, comfortable (by reducing the strain on your calf muscles), and improves traction.

If you're located in the mountains, and you're snowshoeing up long, sustained climbs, a heel lift might be exactly what the doctor ordered. If you're spending most of your time on flatter or rolling terrain, you probably don't need the heel lift.

Damages/issues: For any item(s) received damaged or incorrectly, we will replace that item free of charge within 30 days of delivery. For your convenience, there is no need to return the original damaged or incorrectly shipped item; you may safely dispose of it once you've received approval from our team. When requesting the approval through the Returns Portal, please include photos of the item and of the packaging material. Please use Apollo's Return Portal to initiate the return process. When your order arrives, it's important to check it thoroughly. If you notice any defects, damages, or receive the wrong item, we urge you to use Apollo's Return Portal or contact us atsupport@apollolanding.com. We will investigate the issue promptly and take the necessary steps to ensure your satisfaction.

Returns: If for any reason you decide to return the item, you have up to 30 days from the time of delivery to request a free return. The item must be in the same condition as you received it, unopened and unused, and in its original packaging. Please use Apollo's Returns Portal to initiate the return.

Exchanges: If you are looking to exchange your item, please use Apollo's Return Portal to initiate the free exchange within 30 days of delivery. Both the return shipping and replacement shipping costs are covered by the Seller. When processing an exchange, our Returns Portal only permits exchanges for the same item at the same price but in a different variant (e.g.: exchanging the same shirt in size Medium for a size Large). The item must be in the same condition as you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.

Our Philosophy

Sustainability

As an outdoor products manufacturer we feel obligated to try and make our snowshoes in a way that does no harm to the environment in which they are used. To that end, we set some basic rules and tenets for ourselves to follow early on in the history of Crescent Moon Snowshoes:

• Our snowshoes are built to last a lifetime by using the highest quality components possible. We can repair almost any kind of problem and at the end of their life, we can recycle most of the parts so that very little is going into the landfill.
• We source our snowshoe components from companies who share similar environmental philosophies to our own. And as more like-minded consumers demand environmental responsibility from suppliers and manufacturers, more and more suppliers will bring better technologies to the market.
• The plastic resins and sheet that are used in our bindings, heel pads, snow guards, have no PVC, VOCs, and plasticizers and are recyclable. The scrap decking material, TGS, has been recycled to make horse corral fill, and other uses are being explored.
• A minimum of 85% of the aluminum and stainless steel used in the construction of our snowshoes is from recycled metal.
• Waste generated in the manufacturing of our snowshoes is recycled including aluminum, stainless steel, plastic, cardboard, and paper.
• 100% of the energy we use is wind generated electricity.

It is our intent to make the waste we create totally accounted for whether through re-use or re-cycle and to use materials that are as environmentally respectful as possible. We’ll continue to research and look for ways to become better and we’re happy to respond to your questions and suggestions. In the meantime, we would also ask you to consider the environment and share whatever ideas you may have with us to make all of us more accountable.

Our “Take Me Back” Program

Send us your Crescent Moon Snowshoes that you no longer use. We will recycle the frames, rivets, claws, and bindings. If the snowshoes still have life, please donate them to a school, camp or program that can use them.
