Our soaps are hand-milled, using organic aloe vera instead of water, and melted down. Essential oils and herbs are incorporated after the lye is neutralized, which distinguishes our process from other handmade soaps. This additional time-consuming step ensures that the essential oils and herbs retain their full benefits.

It takes 4-5 months for a batch of our hand-milled soap to cure.

Aloe Vera Gel and Juice, Organic (Aloe barbadensis) - Possesses excellent skin healing properties, acts as a soothing emollient, antibacterial, heals skin irritations, burns, and wounds, and promotes new skin growth.

Beeswax, Organic - Used in soaps, creams, and balms to seal and protect the skin, serves as a natural emulsifier.

Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) - Meets NOP standards for organic production, removes dental plaque and whitens teeth.

Potassium Hydroxide (lye) is utilized as an alkali, combined with oils to produce liquid soap.

Organic Rosemary Oil (Rosmarinus officinalis) eases tight muscles and joints, provides relief for rheumatism and arthritis, and the inhalation of rosemary is beneficial for nasal congestion, headaches, and bronchitis.

Yellow French Clay has a high mineral content that draws out impurities and balances the skin. It is used to absorb oils, serves as a skin toner to tighten pores, and stimulates the skin.

Sea Salt, rich in minerals and trace elements, benefits gums and teeth, removes tartar, whitens enamel, and possesses bactericidal properties due to its iodine content.

Shea Butter, Organic Unrefined (Butyrospermum parkii), is an excellent emollient, rich in vitamins A, E, and F. It penetrates deeply into the skin to restore elasticity and does not clog pores.

Silk Powder, produced from high-quality silk, maintains moisture levels in the skin and prevents dryness.

The Inspiration

The concept for JANECKA Skin Care originated from a retirement gift—a soap-making book given to Elizabeth Janecka by her daughter B Janecka—which rekindled a childhood memory. Elizabeth fondly recalls watching her mother and grandmother craft handmade soaps. These cherished memories, combined with the book, gave rise to an entire range of natural skincare and mineral makeup.

Our Environmental Commitment

In an effort to minimize our carbon footprint, we opt for glass containers whenever feasible. Glass, unlike plastic, can be recycled and remanufactured endlessly without degradation. Plastic, on the other hand, has a finite recycling lifespan.
